Using Illustrator you are to create an animation of a character that
is engaged in some aspect of a journey. You may be as literal or as
abstract as you want.
i.e. riding a bicycle, playing chess, socks at war with one another,
squirrels vacuuming the rug, etc..
Guidelines:
+ illustrator document size will be 800 x 600 in pixels
+ all imagery must be created in illustrator
+animation must be a minimum of 10 seconds
+final version will be saved as a .swf and .ai file
+this is the only exercise that is due prior to the mid-term.
Due: Tuesday, February 17th
“How to Animate in illustrator”
+every layer represents a frame
+if duplicating a layer, you can drag a layer down to the bottom of
layer palette
+you can also insert a new layer and copy and paste content from
one layer to the next
+To export your animation FILE>EXPORT (file type is .swf) .AI layers
to SWF frames
+ the .swf file will be saved automatically wherever your .ai file is
located
+if you have a layer that is hidden at time of export, it will not be
visible in .swf file
